Experience and Education


High school graduation and ten (10) years progressively responsible administrative experience in business, medical, scientific, or health care environment.  

Job Duties


Coordinates and supervises major or very complex programs, activities and special functions, including establishing, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures; supervises clerical and administrative employees working on program, activity, or special funtion; interprets policies and procedures; ensures timely and efficient operations to accomplish objectives.  
Provides professional support on special projects, which may include tasks such as: collection, organization, and analysis of relevant data, preparation of time lines, and writing reports.     
Develops and delivers special presentations.       
Coordinates budget for activity, program, or project following appropriate accounting practices and procedures to ensure all work of activity or program is within budget; prepares and submits reports using spreadsheet and word processing software as required.    
Performs other duties as assigned.       


**Other Duties:  Performs other duties as assigned. 

Works closely with the Department Chair to prepare Letter of Intent based on guidelines from the Office of the SMS Dean,  coordinates faculty

Works closely with the Dean¿s Office Faculty Affairs for all faculty transactions

Coordinates Departmental Faculty Promotion & Tenure Process as well as the Post-Tenure review process for new and existing faculty. Maintains records of faculty members,  Coordinates department annual faculty evaluation process.

Coordinates department annual faculty reappointment letter process.

Supervise all aspects of credentialing/re-credentialing for new and existing faculty.

Supervise creation/update of faculty websites following established templates and guidelines.

Gather information to ensure compliance of malpractice/risk management for faculty, fellow and residents

Provide supervision for (8) administrative staff.
