The Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center is offering a twelve-month aesthetic training position. The experience will provide a highly focused year with graduated responsibility in all aspects of aesthetic surgery. The experience will provide comprehensive independent clinical management with involvement by faculty from UT Southwestern and Baylor University Medical Center. The Assistant Instructor has the opportunity to see patients pre and post operatively in clinic, based on their interest and granted they are not in surgery.
The Assistant Instructor is part of one of the largest academic residency programs in the United States. This physician, who often acts as Junior Faculty, will constantly be working with residents as well. As the year progresses the physician will be able to assume a teaching role for the residents allowing a great opportunity for development of teaching skill as a future faculty, whether in an academic or private practice environment. In addition, the Assistant Instructor, similarly to the other aesthetic staff, will help staff the residents at Parkland as a faculty, an invaluable experience as a junior faculty helping in planning and executing complex aesthetic cases.
This opportunity will provide experience in all aspects of aesthetic surgery.
