The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics is seeking to hire an Assistant Instructor to join the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Division at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health Dallas.
The candidate will join the faculty in the Division of Hematology/Oncology as an Assistant Instructor and Senior Oncology Research Fellow in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. In this capacity, they will continue laboratory-based research exploring the potential of chimeric antigen-receptor T-Cells (CAR-T cells) in AML. Specifically, they will develop AML xenograft models, and will test for on-target/off-tumor toxicity in mice models, and test the efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy in adult AML and solid tumors. They will devote a fraction of their effort toward providing direct care to children with cancer and blood disorders at Children's Health Dallas.
