The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Center for Autophagy Research, is seeking a new faculty member at the Assistant Instructor level.  The position requires and M.D./Ph.D. or Ph.D. in a basic science and two to five years of postdoctoral experience in a related specialty.  This position will facilitate a major research project focused on the mechanism of programmed necrosis in human cancer cells.  This study will involve molecular biology, tissue culture, cell biology and biochemistry techniques. Because the execution of this project requires expertise in the field of molecular biology, tissue culture, cell biology and biochemistry techniques, the Assistant Instructor must thus be an experienced researcher with expertise in each of these areas.  The position will also have medical student, graduate student, and resident/fellow teaching responsibilities.
