The Department of neuroscience at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Takahashi, invites applications at the Assitant Professor level for a tenure-track Faculty position in the broadly defined area of molecular neuroscience. We seek outstanding scientist addressing molecular, biochemical and genetic mechanisms underlying brain function, as well as, those individuals using high-resolution imaging methods. Scientists within the Department of Neuroscience participate in a vibrant, interdisciplinary, interdepartmental, and highly collaborative research community with the University, and enjoy access to state - of-art research cores in imaging, mouse MRI imaging, metabolic phenotyping, behvioral phenotyping, protein chemistry, structural biology, cryo-electron microscopy, genomics, genetics and transgenic technology. The Department of Neurosciens is a core component of the newly formed Peter O' Donnell Jr. Brain Institute at UT Southwestern.
