The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, invites applications for the position of Director of Stroke Rehabilitation.
Join the largest academic PM&R department in the dynamic Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Department has a highly dedicated faculty, including junior, mid-career, and senior members with a diverse mix of clinical, research and educational interests. The Director of Stroke Rehabilitation position represents a leadership appointment in the Department. The Director of Stroke Rehabilitation will develop an outpatient stroke rehabilitation program which compliments the inpatient CARF certified stroke specialty program. The resulting comprehensive stroke program will combine multidisciplinary medical specialties and facilities within the Southwestern Health Resources System. The position will also be involved with population health services and will be expected to devote 30-50% in associated research effort according to the applicant’s experience. Applicants must be board certified in Physical Medicine and rehabilitation and be eligible for Texas medical licensure. Academic rank will be awarded at the level commensurate with experience.
