The Department of Clinical Sciences at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking applicants for a Professor level faculty position commiserate with experience that will serve as the Chief of the division of Epidemiology in the Department of Clinical Sciences. We expect the Chief to recruit several faculty and post-doctoral positions over the next several years. The goal is to further strengthen the breadth and depth of the Department, which will provide in-depth epidemiological collaboration and consultation with all clinical investigators at UT Southwestern across all departments.
Candidates for this position must have significant accomplishments in the field of epidemiology, especially as it pertains to medical disorder (e.g., cancer, cardiology, psychiatry, etc.). We aim to develop an extremely strong world class Division of Epidemiology. Professional experience or accomplishments should include innovative contributions to the design or analyses of epidemiological investigations, a track record of consistently high quality publications, demonstrated leadership with management, organizational and administrative skills, and evidence of strong communication, conceptualization and teaching abilities.
The successful doctoral applicant will play a pivotal role in the development of both the Division and the Department, ensure the development of truly top-notch clinical and epidemiological investigators(in both interventional and translational research), recruit and develop additional faculty within the Division, as well as to continue his/her own scientific work.
