Clinical Neuropsychologist – Outpatient Neuropsychology Service
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology, is seeking an outstanding clinical neuropsychologist for an Assistant Professor position. The position is primarily clinical with opportunities to participate in research activities through the O’Donnell Brain institute, Texas Institute for Brain Injury and Repair (TIBIR), and the NIH/NIA-funded Alzheimer’s Disease Center. UT Southwestern is a large, cutting edge medical system which includes the William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital, Zale Lipshy University Hospital, and partners with other major teaching hospitals in the Southwestern Medical District, including Children's Health¿ Children's Medical Center Dallas and Parkland Health and Hospital Systems.
This position will be located in the Outpatient Neuropsychology Service within the primary University Hospital system. Responsibilities include provision of clinical neuropsychological assessment and consultation services, supervision of pre- and post-doctoral trainees, and participation in the overall academic mission, with opportunities for involvement in our APA accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. Primary patient populations include movement disorders, dementia, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, stroke, and epilepsy, as well as neuropsychiatric presentations and a broad range of complex medical disorders.
We are seeking a candidate who espouses a flexible approach to assessment and is experienced in working with adults with a range of neurocognitive disorders. Requirements include ABPP/CN-eligible postdoctoral training in clinical neuropsychology and eligibility for licensure in Texas. Preference will be given to board certified clinicians experienced with the above patient populations and to Spanish bilingual candidates. While Texas licensure is not required for consideration or selection for the position, it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position.

To the extent provided by applicable law, no person shall be excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any program or activity sponsored or conducted by The University of Texas System or any of its component institutions, on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, or disability.
