The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology, is seeking an outstanding clinical psychologist for to provide services in the Department of Oncology at Parkland Health and Hospital Systems. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Responsibilities of this position include serving as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, providing daily individual and group psychotherapy services and occasional psychological evaluations, supplying behavioral management expertise, assisting with development and implementation of group programming, serving on various hospital committees, occasional teaching, supervision of trainees from our APA accredited Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology, and participating in the overall UT Southwestern academic mission. Our patients come from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and are primarily diagnosed with psychiatric conditions such as psychosis, depression/anxiety, trauma, behavioral disturbance and personality disorders with frequent problematic substance use, chronic pain and/or medical comorbidities. Preference will be given to board-certified clinicians, those licensed in Texas and experienced with the above patient populations/settings and to Spanish bilingual candidates. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full time schedule.
