The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas seek an experienced congenital cardiac surgeon. The successful applicant will be certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (or equivalent), will hold or be eligible for the ABTS Certificate in Congenital Cardiac Surgery (or equivalent), and eligible for a Texas Medical Board License. The successful applicant will be appointed as full-time faculty at UT Southwestern at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, commensurate with experience and qualifications, and will be based in Austin. There he/she will join an experienced, senior congenital heart surgeon, as part of an established and rapidly growing program. The program at UTSW in Dallas, with Dallas and Austin campuses, is one of the largest programs in the country with state of the art facilities at both campuses. Austin is the state capital, home of one of the leading research universities in the world, a center of art and music, and rich with educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities.
