The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Family and Community Medicine seeks applicants for a full-time faculty position with a research focus on primary care and health services research.  The ideal candidate will build the Research Program for the Department of Family and Community Medicine.

 

Qualifications include a doctorate degree (Ph.D., M.D., DrPH, or other similar degree) in social science, behavioral health, public health or health services.  The right candidate will lead the research core at the Department of Family and Community Medicine, develop a team of faculty to create a nationally recognized program, engage all faculty in the department in research, and obtain extramural funding to support their own research.  Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills and advanced expertise in research design and methodology.  Candidates will need to have a proven track record of funded research and publications.  Academic appointment will be awarded commensurate with experience at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.
