The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Neurology and Neurotherapeutics invite faculty applications for the position of Director of the Alzheimer's Disease Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for leadership of a successful NIA funded Alzheimer's Disease Center, now in its 18th year of funding, with a large and dynamic interdepartmental research program as well as clinical practice in cognitive and memory disorders. Physician scientists with significant research expertise in Alzheimer's Disease or other neurodegenerative disorder are encouraged to apply.
The candidate should have a record which includes academic achievement, excellence in teaching, and extramural research funding. The candidate should be board certified in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Neuropsychology, eligible for Texas medical licensure, and qualified for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level with tenure.
