The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking an outstanding individual to serve as Medical Director of Pediatric Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology within the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at UT Southwestern and Children's Health Dallas. Ranked #7 nationally in the area of Pediatric GI by US News and World Report in 2016, the Division hosts a busy clinical practice and significant clinical and basic research programs.
The Medical Director of Pediatric Hepatology and Transplant Hepatology will be responsible for the continued growth and development of an active hepatology and transplant program which performs an average of twelve pediatric liver transplants annually. The position will offer substantial resources allowing the candidate to expand their own clinical and/or basic research programs. Applicants must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas and be board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, with additional competency in Transplant Hepatology. Academic title will be commensurate with academic credentials. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time status.
