The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, invites nominations and applications for the faculty position of Vice Chair of Research.
Join the largest academic PM&R department in the dynamic Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Department has a highly dedicated faculty, including junior, mid-career, and senior members with a diverse mix of clinical, research and educational interests. The Director of Research position represents a major leadership appointment in the Department. The individual will report directly to the Department Chair. Start-up funding will be available to assist in establishing research lab facilities and staff as well as salary support until grant funding can be secured. The Director of Research will be expected to develop research curriculum for faculty and residents. Proven research leadership experience and productivity is required. Applicants must be board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and be eligible for Texas medical licensure or should have a PhD in a related field. Academic rank will be awarded at the level commensurate with experience.
