The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is seeking an academic general internal medicine/primary care physician with expertise in medical informatics. Consideration may be given to candidates seeking less than a full-time position. The position requires an M.D. degree or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. Experience in medical informatics and leading informatics to optimize EMRs for ambulatory care is also needed. Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified in Internal Medicine. Responsibilities include providing educational leadership and supervising patient care in ambulatory and hospital settings at the University and its affiliated hospitals, optimizing EMRs for ambulatory care, in addition to the teaching and training of medical students, house staff, and fellows.
