Experience and Education


High school graduate and at least two (2) years of hospital or medical office experience is required.   

Job Duties


Performs timely follow-up of outstanding Medicare and Medicaid accounts.      
Keeps various stakeholders, like collectors, HIM, CDM and upper management informed about new edits, payer trends and system delays or issues that could impact billing activity and collection of government account.    
Process complete and accurate primary and secondary claims daily.       
Resolve system edits and claims errors in a timely manner.       
Performs reconciliation of claims dropping from Siemens into claims editor.      
Utilize systems, tools, and department resources to achieve production and quality targets for resolution of patient accounts.      
Investigates and responds to questions or requests for additional information in a timely and professional manner to ensure proper, timely and accurate payment of patient accounts.     
Attends in-services, classes and meetings related to all operations to the PFS department. Understands reimbursement of all 3rd party payors.     
Completes required online education with minimal/no prompting.       
Performs other duties as required.
