Experience and Education


High school graduation or equivalent and (5) five years experience working on computers using ERP/WMS platforms (i.e. PeopleSoft and SC Logistics). Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel products.  Must be able to lift/move 75 lbs.  Must have possession of valid State of Texas motor vehicle operator's license when required by employing department.  Preferred experience includes: Use of Fork lift, Electric Pallet Jacks, Manual Pallet Jacks; and Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain license as condition of employment.

Job Duties


1.Responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of a group of 5 or more employees.
2.Makes daily employee assignments, helps to maintain work flow, and coordinates all activities for assigned area.
3.Develops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for all receiving/shipping processes.
4.Perform maintenance duties and provided training for all power equipment.
6.Coordinates and helps to unload FedEx, UPS,  and Common Carrier trailers, inspects merchandise for damage, gathers pack lists and pertinent  information to accurately  determine recipient;  generates receiving documents and receipts.
7.Checks incoming shipments against bills of lading and purchase orders and prepares accurate receiving reports, noting shortages, overages, and damaged items.
8.Coordinates the receipt and delivery of General Stores shipments.
9.Restocks General Stores with product in correct bin locations and picks customer orders with correct product and correct quantity.
10.Utilizes computer printout sheet and/or handheld device to determine, document and replenished supply quantities. Completes cycle counting and inventory adjustments.
11.Leads implementation of continuous improvement projects for assigned area.
12.Documents all process errors found in assigned work area and communicates an improvement to eliminate future errors to team members.
13.Loads, unloads and delivers merchandise by variety of means including forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual loading techniques.
14.Provides assistance to department personnel in preparing and arranging for outgoing shipments.
15.Drives university vehicles to various campus and off-campus locations to offload and deliver merchandise.
16.Ensures that storage areas and stock rooms are maintained in clean and tidy condition.Restocks General Stores with product in correct bin locations and picks customer orders with correct product and correct quantity.
17.May train or orient new employees assigned to unit.
