Experience and Education


3 - 5 years hospital finance experience; Strong evidence of excellent communication skills - translating financial into operational data for clinicians.
Bachelors Degree required.Masters degree and five (5) years accounting and five (5) years finance and supervisory experience in healthcare preferred. Hyperion, budget development for a large organization and strong analytical, Excel and Access skills required.

Job Duties


1. Coordinate with management teams throughout the organization to develop annual budget. Develop and enhance budgeting and reporting tools. Coordinates activities and the documentation of the budget process. Develops forecasts and projections for review. Prepares schedules, reports, graphs, charts, etc. Ensure notification and publication deadlines are met. Prepares final budget documents for distribution.
2. Responsible for assisting in training of Hospital staff on budget processes within Hyperion. Maintains data within Hyperion and updates as necessary. Coordinate with Hyperion team and Controller to ensure system is updated properly and enhancements made or recommended as needed.
3. Implement systems or procedures to capture financial/statistical data. Generate the productivity reports for publication. Analyze hospital key volume indicators in various weekly/monthly reports. Analyze actual to target trends in productivity for management. Provide month-end reports to accounting for accruals.
4. Responsible for maintaining the Book budget and operational adjustments and work with the CFO, Controller and Academic departments to maintain accuracy on entries to Book.
5. Serve as a liaison between hospital staff and the Finance Department. This includes research, general ad-hoc analysis, or training. Maintain and update department specific documents.
