The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting in the Center for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases. We are seeking MD, PhD, or MD/PhD candidates with training in neuropathology who wish to develop an independent research program focused on neurodegenerative diseases. The ideal candidate will develop cutting edge diagnostics and biomarkers, particularly for Alzheimer ’s disease and other disorders of protein aggregation. The position will include a primary appointment within the UTSW Center for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative diseases, which takes a multidisciplinary approach to the biology, diagnostics, and therapy for neurodegenerative diseases linked to protein amyloids. A secondary appointment in Pathology will be available to interested candidates. Research space and generous start-up funds are available. Academic rank will be awarded at a level commensurate with experience.
