The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking outstanding individuals to join the faculty as part of a multidisciplinary Pediatric Intensive Care Division, providing care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health Dallas.
Clinical responsibilities will be divided between the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit is a collaborative venture between Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery. It accommodates the 400 cardiac surgeries performed yearly. There are also active programs in echocardiography, cardiac MRI, electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization. The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is a 44-bed multi-disciplinary ICU that includes medical, trauma and surgical patients. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology. Academic title will be commensurate with academic credentials. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time status.
