The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking an outstanding individual to join the Pediatric Infectious Disease Division at UT Southwestern and Children’s Health Dallas.
Candidates should have a financially supported research program in some aspect of infectious diseases including, though not limited to, epidemiology, bacteriology, virology, mycology parasitology, microbial pathogenesis, immunology of infectious diseases, microbial biology and/or microbial genetics or genomics. UT Southwestern offers outstanding collaborative research opportunities. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas and must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease. Candidates should also be an accomplished teacher in the field. Clinical activities, both in patient and out patient, are conducted at Children’s Health Dallas, a 480 bed hospital that is the only academic health care facility in North Texas dedicated exclusively to the comprehensive care of children. Academic title will be commensurate with academic credentials. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time status.
