Experience and Education
Coordinates daily workflow in assigned area and provides leadership to other technicians. Performs extemporaneous compounding. Repackages bulk medications into unit dose per departmental policy and procedure. Enters charges and credits and restocks returns.
Makes good decisions, accepts responsibilities, and maintains competency in multiple areas.
Accepts duty as knowledge and training resource for specific areas of responsibility and works to imporve these areas.
Fills all orders, floor stock, and fill lists. Performs IV calculations and prepares al IV admixture using proper aseptic technique. Handles all intravenous chemotherapy. Delivers medication on time.
Provides prompt and courteous service. Receives incoming calls and prioritizes bases on urgency or nature of requests.
Audits and signs out all controlled substances in accordance with state and federal guidelines and organizational policies. Identifies and corrects discrepancies and reports unusual usage pattern and trends. Completes medication area inspections. Removes and documents expired medications.
Orders, manages and monitors drug inventory in fiscally responsible manner and is cognizant of appropriate PAR levels in medication storage areas.
Enhances personal growth and development. Participates in educational programs, in-services and meetings. Participates in new employee orientation and training.
Treats co-workers and organizational and departmental property and resources with respect. Maintains clean, orderly and stocked work environment.
Works and problem solves with minimal supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned.
