The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology, is seeking a cardiologist to function as the Head of the Advanced Heart Failure section and as the Medical Director of the VAD/Heart transplantation program. Candidates must have an M.D. degree, or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school, be eligible for Texas medical licensure, and be board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant cardiology. Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Clinical responsibilities will focus on Advanced Heart Failure, VAD, and Cardiac transplant patients. There is significant opportunity to participate in teaching and training of fellow and house staff, as well as to pursue pertinent clinical or translational investigation. This is an outstanding opportunity for an academic cardiologist to assume a major leadership position at our institution.
