Experience and Education


 

 

Bachelor's degree in related field and ten (10) years directly related experience with at least one (1) year in supervisory capacity.

 

 

 

 

Job Duties


1.  Responsible for overall project management to include budgets, change orders, schedule, contractor GMP's and quality control in compliance with industry and institutional standards.

 


2.  Manage complex capital facility projects greater than $20 million.

 


3.  Manages the design and construction teams on the successful completion and occupancy of campus construction. (New Radiation Oncology Building and CUH renovations).

 


4.  Manages contractual compliance and relationships for the assigned projects.  Defines and implements contractual and financial strategies.  Coordinates approval procedures with the BOR, and THECB and associated State Agencies.  Works collaboratively with Purchasing in the preparation of necessary documentation for contract award.  Support the ROCIP and HUB program on the selected projects.

 


5.  Plane and execute work required by the hospital. Reviews hospital facilities, equipment and systems and makes recommendations for capital replacement.  Implements installation of capital equipment as required.

7.  Manage and track projects in the CIP centralized project management information system.

 


8.  Close out projects to ensure documents are uploaded to eBuilder and properly issued to Facilities Management.

 


9.  Monitor the status of project permits and inspections to ensure that they are completed and properly documented.

 


10.  Address and manage critical issues impacting project quality and safety.

 


11.  Must demonstrate strong leadership in managing contractors.
