The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is seeking a Pulmonary and Critical Care Intensivist. Applicant must have an M.D. degree from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency and Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship from an ACGME accredited program. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care. Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. This faculty position will have responsibilities and duties of patient care including attending on inpatient MICU service, interpretation of PFTs, performing bronchoscopy and other critical care procedures, and teaching of residents and subspecialty fellows at Parkland Hospital and its affiliated hospitals. Also required is a strong clinical research program in intensive care medicine. Active funding is highly desirable.
