Experience and Education
Must have passed the registry exam as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and have valid licensure. CPR training required.
Prepares patient for radiotherapy; Administers radiotherapy treat- ment and monitors patient during treatment.
Prepares treatment room and fabricates immobilization devices.
Coordinates patient scheduling and retrieval of patient records.
Assures radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
Tracks, records and compiles all clinical research data of patients following departmental and IRB policies.
Participates in development of program's policies, procedures, and quality assurance methods.
Discusses technical problems with supervisor and faculty to suggest corrections and/or solutions.
Consults with supervisor or physician concerning treatment.
Assists in commissioning, calibration, quality assurance, and physical measurements as appropriate for system accuracy.
Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; b) Directly interacting with or caring for human-subjects research participants; c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records (including patient financial records); or d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human-subjects research records.
Performs other duties as assigned.
