Cardiothoracic Imaging Faculty Positions Available at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
The University Of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Radiology, Division of Cardiothoracic Imaging is pleased to announce faculty openings directed by Dr. Suhny Abbara.
The radiology department serves a 1,000-bed urban Level 1 trauma hospital as well as a 460-bed university hospital. Faculty will be exposed to the entire spectrum of Pulmonary and Cardiovascular disease. The department of radiology houses state of the art imaging equipment including latest generations of MRI, CT and PET-CT scanners as well as state-of-the-art hospital wide electronic systems including EMR, PACS, 3D processing software, voice recognition dictation, and several other electronic resources. Faculty will have access to state-of-the-art research facilities. There are excellent research and educational opportunities as well as availability of high-level mentorship in the pursuit of scholarly activities. Ideal candidates are ABR Board certified or eligible, fellowship trained in Thoracic Imaging, with Texas license. Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient and outpatient film interpretation of thoracic images and various thoracic interventional procedures at Parkland, University Hospitals and outpatient facilities. Teaching responsibilities will include medical students, radiology residents, and fellows in didactic lectures and group settings as well as participation in various multidisciplinary conferences. Research will vary depending on candidate's interest. Appointed position, salary and benefits are based upon level of training and experience.
