The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dallas, Texas, is seeking a physiatrist to join our faculty in Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal PM&R. The Department of PM&R includes 40 board-certified physiatrists, as well as 33 residents and 3 fellows. We have busy inpatient and outpatient practices at UT Southwestern as well as at our teaching county hospital, Parkland Health and Hospital System. Practice opportunities abound in integrated clinics with fellow faculty members in Orthopedics, Family Medicine, Neurosurgery, and Psychology.


Qualifications: Candidates must be board admissible or board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and must have completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship or equivalent training. Texas medical license is required.  Proficiency in the use of ultrasound, electrodiagnosis, and regenerative tissue treatments is highly desired. 


Duties include:  Provide direct patient care activities at UTSW facilities (Sports Medicine and Musculoskeletal clinics on the Main Campus, and in suburban ambulatory care settings),Parkland Health outpatient clinics; participate in medical student, PM&R resident and fellowship teaching and research activities as well as lay education.
