The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management is seeking a research scientist to join our faculty. Academic rank will be determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate. UT Southwestern has outstanding core research facilities and resources to support research faculty.
Candidates must have a PhD with a doctorate in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering. At least three years of postdoctoral fellowship training is required with experience in optics. Postdoctoral fellowship training in Near Infrared Spectroscopy and Diffuse Optical Imaging, including Diffuse Correlation Spectroscopy, is preferred. Duties will include collaboration on projects focused on the application of the same to the field of basic and clinical neuroscience.
