Experience and Education
Coordinates record maintenance. Generates and submits internal reports in required formats and timeframes, including autoclave cycles, tunnel and rack washer operations and sanitation. Reports to management on operations-related issues.
Conducts routine inspection of cagewash facilities, equipment and materials to determine degree to which established levels of materials are available, sanitation levels are being met/exceeded, and animal facilty support is adequate.
Participate in providing on-the-job training and mentorship of Animal Care Attendants and Animal Care Trainees. Participate in implementation and compliance of site-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain required attendance level and adherence to work schedule in accordance with required staffing levels in order to ensure that assigned duties are completed. May provide direction and job assignments to several Animal Care Attendants. Ability to work weekends as assigned.
Oversees consistent practice of general safety policies and procedures and MSDS guidelines.
Performs all duties of an Animal Care Attendant.
Comply with and wear required personal protective equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
