Experience and Education

High school, vocational school graduation, or GED. Two years experience in a Supply Chain Logistics environment with distribution, receiving, and inventory management functions. Supervisor, Team Leader experience or hospital, multi-hospital system responsibilities preferred. Use of personal computer, printers, multi-line telephone, copiers, fax machines, and other related office equipment. Experience in the use of manual and power lifting equipment preferred but not required.

Job Duties

1.Responsible to effective supervise of staff assigned to the Materials Management performing receiving and distribution of materials and equipment, staging incoming and out going supplies and equipment, stock put-away and rotation, replenishment, order filling and delivery to user departments throughout the UTSWMC. Monitors receipt and inspection of incoming shipments against bills of lading and purchase orders.
2.Effectively supervises the activities and workload of staff members to achieve daily objectives. Prepares staffing schedules and participates in employee performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when required. Provides job-specific training, conducts staff meetings and in-services, and evaluates staff competencies.Ensures prompt delivery of merchandise to on and off-campus departments.
3.Ensures compliance with capital and non-capital equipment receiving, tagging, and distribution policies and procedures. Coordinates safe and timely inter-campus transport of facility assets as needed.
4.Oversees accurate data entry of documents for use by Accounting and Purchasing Departments.
5.Ensures accurate and timely replenishment processes and works effectively with UTSWMC to address supply requirements.
6.Ensures drivers comply with inter-campus delivery schedules and distribution staff provide timely and accurate intrafacility receipt distribution and collect required proof-of-delivery information.
7.Oversees maintenance of complete and accurate files of receiving reports, freight bills, package slips, rejection reports, etc.
8.Enforces good housekeeping practices daily to eliminate congestion, clutter, and safety hazards and maintains a neat and orderly appearance of the dock, receiving, and staging areas. The area should be clear of clutter including cardboard, pallets, and rubbish.
9.Provides necessary training and development of staff performing supply chain functions within Materials Management. Mentors, and creates Individual Development Plans for all staff members.

Manage RASMAS recalls
F/U with PL Coordinator to assist in confirmation of accurate PL edits requested by Inventory Analyst
Manage Consignments
Head and/or assist in the supervision of special projects requested by Manager ¿Mobile Inventory, Case Cart staging, Canceled case process, duplicate PL print process
Time studies of job duties
Responsible for accurate and timely PAR Replenishments
Coordinating quarterly physical inventory with Inventory Coordinator & Inventory Analyst 
Assist in Standard Operating Procedure    
Run and review daily queries to assist in the supervision of employee performance
Assist in the identification and resolution of supply chain based challenges.
Ensure all pertinent information is captured and communicated to all staff members.
Evaluate and recommend sufficient number of competent staff in which to perform departmental duties proficiently and accurately.
Incident Reporting
Continually seeks ways to control cost without compromising patient safety or quality of care delivered to the patient.
OPTIME product set up (Balance Record)
Supervision of ADD ON / CANCEL cases, case cart preparations
