Experience and Education


An advanced degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Health Care Management or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of progressive, executive leadership experience in the health care, academic medical and/or multi hospital system environment, having clearly demonstrated a combination of vision and energy with a solid track record of achievement.

Job Duties


1.  Working with UTSW's President, EVP for Institutional Advancement and other key stakeholders, develop and establish international philanthropy sources and new market channels to attract international patient populations to UTSW. Translates global market insights into business strategies and value propositions to help UTSW leadership assess business-specific opportunities to attract domestic and international philanthropy, investment and other funding resources for UTSW's strategic initiatives, such as IP, technology transfer, research, educational programs, and new care delivery models, e.g., tele-health.
2.  Develops and implement strategies to promote UTSW and the region as the foremost destination for healthcare research, health and wellness services and innovation in the world. Collaborates with local, regional and national leadership to build deep relationships, and raise awareness of UTSW's healthcare research, health and wellness services and innovation.
3.  Develop a comprehensive (global and) regional brand strategy and supporting programs to promote the UTSW and affiliate brands and effectively articulate the value proposition of their services.  Support the UTSW leadership to leverage select assets through creative strategies, to build a stronger brand and gain greater global visibility.  Identify ways to leverage all communications and engagement strategies into unified campaigns that support UTSW's global brand vision and strategies.
4.  Support the commercialization of UTSW's technology innovations by collaborating with UTSW leadership and key stakeholders to translate business opportunities into communications and marketing plans/programs; ensuring consistency across services, locations and affiliates, identifying and leveraging economies of scale where practical.   Facilitate dialogue among/between UTSW and affiliate leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities with corresponding strategies.
5.  Collaborates and facilitates dialogue among UTSW leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities to bring international patients and programs to UTSW.  Supports care and program strategies with corresponding communications and marketing plans/programs; ensuring consistency across services, locations and affiliates, identifying and leveraging economies of scale where practical.
