The Animal Resource Center (ARC) at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas is seeking an Assistant Director – Animal Care. This person will join other members of the leadership team and be responsible for overseeing the husbandry staff in one of the largest biomedical research programs in the country that continues to expand. Operating 11 vivariums totaling over 250,000 sq. ft. of space and having 230+ employees in the department will provide the opportunity for the right candidate to excel in their animal facility management career.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in animal related field preferred. Ten years of experience in an animal care facility/operations to include five years in a supervisory/management role. Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) and Certified Manager of Animal Resources (CMAR) certification required.
