The Family Medicine Residency Program was established in 1996 and has grown through the years, graduating over 300 family physicians since its inception. Our 20+ core Faculty and 42 (14-14-14) Residents provide care to a diverse patient population in a variety of practice settings across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, including county, university, and community (Parkland Health and Hospital System, UTSW Hospitals, and Texas Health Resources respectively). In addition to robust outpatient clinics, we run inpatient services at both Parkland Memorial Hospital and Texas Health Resources Presbyterian Dallas hospital as part of the residency training. Summary:
The Program Director is responsible for leading all administrative, clinical, and educational activities of the Family Medicine Residency Program including the quality of education, curricula, rotations, and care in our large, multi-site practice. They are also responsible for the maintenance of ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) accreditation of the program. The Family Medicine Residency Program Director will partner closely with institutional and departmental leadership, and the medical and hospital staff, to ensure consistent delivery of highest quality patient care and resident education in a cost-effective manner. The Program Director will maintain active involvement in inpatient and outpatient clinical practice and resident teaching. Academic rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code 51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
