Responsibilities
Experience and Education
- Associate's degree or five (5) years of experience in electronic technology.
Job Duties
- Acts as Lead Biomedical Technician by assisting lower level employees with more complex or difficult tasks. Is perceived as the subject matter expert in biomedical problem determination, maintenance, and repair.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains all clinical biomedical equipment and instrumentation used for the diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, or care of patients.
- Provides a program for the acceptance, maintenance, safety, performance verification, and efficiency of biomedical equipment used for patient care.
- Makes necessary operational adjustments to electronic equipment. Makes sensitivity, selectivity, and accuaracy measurements.
- Analyzes electronic equipment for cause of failure, isolates, tests, and replaces defective parts.
- Assists with the design and construction of cables, adapters, and other interfacing equipment.
- Monitors all service contracts covering patient-related equipment. Monitors all service contracts covering patient-related quipment.
- Maintains required records, reports, and statistices relative to biomedical equipment.
- Maintains professional growth and technical knowledge and expertise through seminars, conferences, and other educational forum.
- Attends departmental and other meetings as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
