Responsibilities
Experience and Education
- Associate's degree.
- Three (3) years of experience in electronic technology preferred.
Job Duties
- Installs, repairs, and maintains all clinical biomedical equipment and instrumentation used for the diagnosis, monitoring, treatment or care of patients.
- Provides a program for the acceptance, maintenance, safety, performance verification, and efficiency of biomedical equipment used for patient care.
- Makes necessary operational adjustments to electronic equipment.
- Makes sensitivity, selectivity, and accuracy measurements.
- Analyzes electronic equipment for cause of failure, isolates, tests, and replaces defective parts.
- Designs and constructs cables, adapters, and other interfacing equipment.
- Orders all parts necessary to repair biomedical equipment for all departments.
- Monitors all service contracts covering patient-related equipment.
- Maintains required records, reports, and statistices relative to biomedical equipment.
- Maintains professional growth and technical expertise and knowledge through seminars, conferences, and other educational forums.
- Attends required meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
