The Texas Perinatal Psychiatric Network (PeriPAN) is a pilot program funded via the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC) intended to improve perinatal mental health services. This position would serve as an entry point to the program by outreaching to and enrolling community providers in the service.
The primary components of the program are:
Providing phone-based consultation offering guidance and case management to providers
Assisting providers with resource navigation and referral services
Providing training and education to providers on reproductive mental health services
The preferred candidate would possess the following qualifications/skills:
Experience in Women’s Mental Health and Perinatal Mental Health
Knowledge of community Women’s Mental Health and Perinatal Mental Health resources
Proficiency with business technology tools
Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team
Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Excellent verbal, writing, research, and client interaction skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment and work under tight deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, communications, or related field.
Three (3) years of related experience.
Experience may be substituted for education.
The candidate will ideally be able to write / speak / read Spanish.
Supports and assists with public education and community outreach endeavors for a department.
Develops and/or promotes various projects, programs, and special events related to patient/public education and outreach goals.
Delivers information/educational programs for community members, and/or the public. Attends a variety of outreach events throughout the region.
Provides input and assist with the development of materials and resources necessary for project implementation and evaluation.
Assists investigators with the development and ongoing updates for all outreach and educational materials.
Assists with recruitment efforts and interact with community members while explaining available programs and research opportunities.
Oversees and budget expenditures for community outreach and community outreach and education programs.
May supervise staff by orienting, training, and giving ongoing feedback and assist in development of work plans. Meets regularly to ensure timelines are met; makes recommendations to improve workflow and reporting.
May coordinate and maintain social media and marketing efforts.
May travel to current and prospective outreach locations to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with community partners.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills
Excellent writing, proofing, and editing experience, knowledge of English and Spanish grammar
Knowledge of medical terminology a plus Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills
Work requires ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines
Work requires ability to attend meetings and events scheduled outside the standard work day
