The UT Southwestern Clinical Informatics Center is the leader in developing, implementing, and evaluating effective Clinical Informatics solutions for those in health care and the people/patients that they serve and in educating future clinical informaticians.
**Masters in Informatics preferred**
· Bachelor’s degree with training in a healthcare profession required; Nursing degree preferred, and two (2) years clinical experience, Ambulatory preferred.
· One (1) year experience utilizing EPIC EMR
· 3 to 5 years’ experience with implementing and optimizing clinical informatics or quality/patient safety improvement initiatives.
· Working knowledge of various quality improvement processes
· Licensure to practice in area of degree if applicable
· PC proficiency including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Visio, Word, etc.)
*** Successful completion of EpicCare Ambulatory Proficiency required within first 90 days of hire.

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in office environment or in the work locations of programming staff, administrative users, or end users.
Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums require prior approval of Vice President for Human Resources Administration or his/her designee.
This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes UT Southwestern to obtain criminal history record information.
