The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive & Liver Diseases, is seeking a faculty member with a focus on research. The position requires: doctoral degree, completion of a post-doctoral research fellowship, and the ability to establish an independent and externally funded research program. The areas of research that we seek should be relevant to inflammatory bowel disease, host-microbe interactions, and inflammatory/immune activation pathways. Basic research programs, that focus on mucosal immune activation are preferred. In addition, the faculty member will be involved in the teaching and training of students and trainees of various levels, including graduate and medical students, and clinical and post-doctoral fellows.
