DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MEDICINE
Be an integral part of a growing family medicine department at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Always highly regarded as one of the top medical schools in the United States, this year UT Southwestern tied foreighth in the United States among the best medical schools for primary care (according to U.S. News and World Report). The Department of Family and Community Medicine has a new chairman with the vision to create a strong, nationally recognized department. The Department of Family and Community Medicine is seeking an outstanding behavioral health faculty member to be an integral part of our Family Medicine Residency Program.
Full-time Faculty position available:
Assistant Professor Behavioral Scientist
    • Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling (PC), Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Psychology or a related field.
    • Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Professional Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist in the state ofTexas.
    • Competency in providing cognitive and behavioral interventions to individuals, families, couples, and groups with behavioral health problems in a primary care setting.
    • Develop and deliver educational activities pertaining to the Behavioral and Mental Health education and general training needs of the Family Medicine Residency Program, including those assigned activities related to recruitment, selection, instruction, supervision, evaluation and advancement of residents.
    • Develop and conduct collaborative research in the area of integrated primary care and behavioral health.
Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
