Experience and Education
Seven (7) years of clinical and administrative management experience specifically in the field of oncology required. Previous experience as a patient care director required, with special attention paid to budget development and financial management, leadership development, and practice management, service line development, and operational efficiencies.
Certification by the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and/or the American College of Medical Practice Executives (CMPE or FACMPE) is preferred.
1. In collaboration with medical and Health System leadership, provides oversight of ambulatory oncology care delivery models with ongoing evaluation and revisions.
2. Monitors patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Collaborates with medical staff leadership to develop and/or revise standards of care with attention to evidence-based practice.
3. Ensures adherence to legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting The Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA, HIPAA, etc.
4. Creates core expectations to attain constant regulatory readiness throughout all Simmons Cancer Clinic locations.
5. Develops growth strategies for volume and facility capacity. Creates mechanisms to enhance revenues through system improvements or development of new opportunities.
6. Provides oversight in the identification, implementation and evaluation of new patient care processes and programs with emphasis on outcomes, satisfaction, cost, and revenue.
7. Ensures the financial viability of the Simmons Cancer Clinics via productivity monitoring and achievement of financial targets. Utilizes benchmarking data to improve overall fiscal health.
8. Directs the preparation of operational and financial reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions. Determines fiscal requirements for the practice; monitors, verifies and reconciles expenditure of budgeted funds. Plays a key role in the development of annual operating budgets in excess of $100 million.
9. Develops and evaluates staff selection, training and retention strategies to advance quality patient care.
