The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking an outstanding individual to serve as Chief of the Division of Hematology & Oncology within the Department of Internal Medicine. Candidates must have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement, a strong commitment to patient care and graduate medical education, and proven leadership skills. A demonstrated ability to maintain an externally funded research program will receive high priority in the selection process. All applicants must be board certified in hematology, oncology or both and eligible for Texas medical licensure. The position is available at a rank of full Professor or Associate Professor depending on qualifications.

Applicants must have an M.D. degree or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school, and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. Candidates must be eligible for Texas medical licensure, be board certified in Internal Medicine, board certified/eligible in Hematology Oncology, and have experience and focused interest in melanoma research and treatment. It is expected that the candidate will participate in clinical patient care, clinical research and the teaching and training of medical students, house staff and fellows.
