Palliative Care Physician
Department of Internal Medicine

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is seeking an Internist or Family Medicine Physician for a full-time clinical position in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. The position requires an
M.D. degree or equivalent, from an approved LCME medical school and satisfactory completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program from an ACGME accredited program. Level of appointment will be commensurate with experience. Candidate must be eligible for Texas medical licensure and be board certified in Internal or Family Medicine. Fellowship training in Palliative Medicine is preferred, but experience or training may replace this requirement. Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is required. Responsibilities include attending on the inpatient palliative care consultation service, sharing in the ambulatory care practice, supervising and instructing palliative care fellows and other trainees, and participating in the clinical, educational, and research activities of the Service.
