Experience and Education

High school diploma or equivalent and one to three (1-3) years or greater experience is required. Previous experience working with surgical supplies preferred.

Job Duties

Maintains par level on stocked implants while balancing maximum inventory turns with having supplies on hand to meet need.

Identifies and evaluates slow moving stock. Coordinates with Supply Chain Manager to keep inventory current & manage par levels.

Provides data entry charges and adjustments for all surgical and angio procedures. Maintains confidentiality of vital patient information.

Initiates revenue analysis review of surgical cases meeting review criteria at time of case posting.

Returns implants without delay. Keeps complete documentation regarding returns.

Adds new item numbers for new products brought into Operating Room. Forwards new items numbers to Central Sterile Clinical Manager and CDM Coordinator.

Effectively coordinates changes in implant type, make, etc with preference list coordinators.

Utilizes OR management software and Materials Management software to identify and project implant needs to assure availability of implants for surgical cases while minimizing implant handling/ shipping costs.

Maintains ongoing communication with manufacturers and Materials Management and Central Sterile regarding implant supplies, back orders and vendor returns.

Performs other duties as assigned.
