Providing Outstanding Pediatric Care as an APP

As an advanced practice provider (APP) with UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Pediatric Group, you will contribute to our mission of safeguarding the health of children in North Texas and beyond. As one of the largest pediatric group practices in Texas, we provide care for a diverse patient population across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Working in collaboration with UT Southwestern pediatric faculty at Children’s Health, partner hospitals and ambulatory clinics, our APPs are part of a multidisciplinary team providing the highest-quality patient care.

APPs Offer Pediatric-Focused Care

UTSW employs nearly 300 pediatric-focused advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and physician assistants (PAs) who collaborate with our faculty at both UT Southwestern and Children’s Health. We are proud of our APPs’ contributions to specialty care teams that have been nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report in 11 areas:

Joint Pediatric Enterprise (JPE)

UT Southwestern Medical Center is proud to collaborate with Children’s Health to recruit top-caliber faculty and pediatric APPs who work within both health care systems to provide the very best care for children and their families.

The JPE, formed in 2019, is structured to facilitate shared decision-making and operational alignment between Children’s Health and UT Southwestern, which have been affiliated for more than 60 years. Together, we are better equipped to meet the rapidly growing needs of the North Texas pediatric community and beyond. This powerful partnership strengthens patient outcomes by providing access to renowned faculty, biomedical research, and clinical trials.

Our Office of Advanced Practice Providers (OAPP) works to ensure our 1,000+ adult and pediatric APPs succeed through leadership, continued development, support, and guidance.
