The Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center is recruiting an outstanding Psychiatrist to serve as a faculty psychiatrist in our very busy Psychiatric Emergency Service located in a large affiliated county hospital. This position includes both direct patient care and teaching/supervision of psychiatry, psychology, allied health and other trainees. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience. Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule.
Candidates must be BC/BE in General Psychiatry. Interest in pursuing an academic career, working with quality improvement projects, and in community psychiatry would be considered as positive attributes. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas Medical license. Residency/Fellowship training in Emergency Psychiatry is ideal but not required. Academic experience and strong track record of clinical teaching is preferred.
