We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Visiting Faculty member to join our team focused on the development of new therapeutic strategies for Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of researchers in our lab environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct research activities aimed at understanding the underlying mechanisms of AMD.
2. Assist in the design and execution of experiments related to the development and testing of therapeutic interventions.
3. Collaborate with other team members to analyze data, interpret results, and contribute to the publication of findings.
4. Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and documentation in accordance with standard protocols and safety regulations.
5. Participate in lab meetings, seminars, and conferences to present research findings and engage in scientific discussions.
Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, etc.).
2. Demonstrated experience in basic laboratory techniques, cell culture, and molecular biology methods.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Consideration may be given to applicants seeking less than a full-time schedule. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
