Rehab Psychologist – PM&R

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, ranked No. 1 hospital in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and No. 2 hospital in Texas by U.S. News and World Report, is seeking a full-time time rehabilitation psychologist experienced in providing neurobehavioral assessment and rehabilitation counseling services in a large medical setting.

The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, chaired by Dr. Heakyung Kim, provides services at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and their affiliated outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work with residents, fellows, and medical students in one of the largest PM&R training programs in the U.S.  Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a doctorate in clinical psychology from an accredited university.  Preferably, the candidate will have 2-4 years psychology practice experience.  In addition, the selected candidate must obtain a Texas Psychology License, must be Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Professional Psychology in Rehabilitation Psychology and/or Neuropsychology.  Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Role Responsibilities and Duties:

The ideal candidate will provide high quality, comprehensive clinical care to inpatients and outpatients as assigned.  Teaching responsibilities will include medical students, PM&R residents and fellows in didactic lectures and group settings as well as participation in various multidisciplinary conferences.  Research will vary depending on the candidate’s interest.
