This position provides comprehensive clinical data and analytical support for the UTSW Health System through collaboration, innovation, and efficiency. Ensures reporting compliance in accordance with required guidelines from governmental, state, certifying bodies, national databases, and institutional initiatives. This position will be a hybrid role, the candidate must either be a current resident of Texas or be willing to relocate to Texas prior to starting this position.
A combination of education, experience and skill sets are required
Bachelor’s degree or 3 years equivalent experience: registry, clinical or healthcare data management
RN or LVN preferred
Epic experience required
Data platform experience required
Proficient with using Microsoft Office Applications
The candidate will preferably have the following experience:
Maintain and advance knowledge with the following:
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software Regulatory guidelines and certification(s) requirements, processes, and trends for data reporting
Performance improvement measures, reference materials, and definitions
Various platforms using data management and querying skills to extract, validate and summarize data
Clinical performance improvement initiatives to be able to provide comprehensive analytical support
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and professional communication skills; both written and spoken
Work with mentor to advance analytical ability sufficient to evaluate data, make sound judgements and recommendations
Adhere to regulatory and data deadlines Participate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
Attend stakeholder meetings, and efficiently disseminate accurate data and information
Complete projects as assigned Fulfill department expectations and goals
Utilize appropriate resources to perform job responsibilities
Perform other duties as assigned
Organize, coordinate, and demonstrate judgement, professionalism, and diplomacy
Establish excellent customer service skills and a professional attitude
Navigate, abstract and analyze data for performance monitoring and data reporting
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and professional communication skills; both written and spoken
Work in partnership with leadership, physicians, and other professionals in a positive manner
Identify and utilize effective problem-solving skills efficiently and to the satisfaction of stakeholders with minimal support
Collaborates with multi-disciplinary groups to support rich diversity of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences.
Continue professional growth through training and mentorship
Actively engage in department projects
Evaluate and analyze data to make sound judgments and recommendations
Acquires knowledge of Quality Improvement methodologies
Recognizing and promoting good ideas/solutions
