The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Pediatrics, seeks an outstanding scientist to join the Center for Pulmonary and Vascular Biology (PVB).
The successful candidate (M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or Ph.D.) will conduct basic and/or translational research in PVB, which is a hub for discovery and innovation in pulmonary and vascular biology.
The successful candidate will join a Center with 3 faculty members with national reputations as research scientists.
All candidates must have background and experience in basic or translational research (e.g. post-doctoral training in pulmonary biology, vascular biology, cell biology or molecular biology or related fields), a strong publication history, and strong track record of funding. The candidate will be provided with a competitive start-up package (including laboratory space) and compensation/benefits will be provided. The candidate will be expected to direct a successful independent research program, and also effectively collaborate with other scientists in PVB, the Department of Pediatrics, or other relevant departments or centers across the campus. The candidate will also be expected to effectively mentor physician-scientists or biomedical scientists in training.
